Just in time for the end of the year, this is part 5 of our tour report:

After the long drive to Belgrade, we were looking forward to a more relaxed travel schedule to Sofia. And the trip was in fact without unpleasant surprises, but presented us with a most scenic drive between Niš and the Bulgarian border through a beautiful gorge with steep mountain walls. The border was kind of funny too. They had six different booths and we had to stop at every one of them and present our documents. At the first booth we got handed a USB memory stick, the purpose of which was a complete mystery to us, and we almost forgot to give it back at the last booth. But even despite this we didn't get hassled at all and so we could continue to Sofia without a hitch.

After we returned from the tour I met a Romanian friend and when I told him the story of our tour he asked me: "How did you drive from Cluj to Belgrade and play a concert on the same day? That's impossible." Well, good thing we didn't know that before, because we did just that.

This is the third part of our tour report, continuing with our travels to Cluj.

Next after Budapest, we went on to Cluj in Romania, a leg of our journey that we were especially excited about. Markus was feeling somewhat better, which was a good thing. Because after a while of driving, empty highways through the Hungarian plains were followed by curvy roads through the Romanian mountains. With a lot of traffic too, which provoked interesting dialogue like "Hey, Felix, you are driving like a madman!" - "Oh yeah? If I'm a madman, then how'd you call that 30-ton truck driver passing us right now?!".
But we survived and arrived in Cluj. (even on time, despite the little-known fact that Romania's time is one hour ahead)

After the great show in Piacenza, the next morning came early (I recognize a trend here...) as were are headed another 620km, almost straight east: to Maribor, Slovenia!
