This is the second part of our tour report, continuing with our travels to Maribor and Budapest.
After the great show in Piacenza, the next morning came early (I recognize a trend here...) as were are headed another 620km, almost straight east: to Maribor, Slovenia!

Travel was without problems (we enjoyed "Keinohrhasen" on the DVD player), so after checking in at a nice hotel right in the center of Maribor, we went to find the club.
The club "Stuk" is a bit smaller than the "Fillmore", but very nice too. The audience was also nice. Quite a few people seemed to come from Austria, or otherwise spoke German, and could understand Timo's lyrics and sing along!
Here's a short report (in Slovenian language) with a video of our version of Mack the Knife (Mackie Messer) from the Threepennies Opera played at Maribor:

The next day we continued to Budapest. The merch guy Markus became ill during the night, and got even more ill from watching our movie of the day, "28 weeks later". (I think it sucks even when you're not sick).
We're informed that the show will be at the party ship "A38", so we dropped off Timo and Felix there. While we went checking in at the hotel, there they called: The show won't be at A38, but at some club called "Diesel". Much confusion ensued until we find out that this other club is actually right next to our hotel. Phew.
So we only need to make a short extra trip through the madness that is traffic in Budapest to pick up Timo and Felix again from the ship, and then unload our gear at the club. The club "Diesel", used to have the name "E-Klub" and apparently was some electronic music club before and is super super nice. A lounge area got converted to the comfiest backstage area on this tour (and they treated us with fantastic food, too.)
At this show there also was another support band, "Symphony", who opened the show. Interestingly, they did not play on the same stage as Haggard and us, but in a second room, and people came to our stage after they finished. Too bad I was busy preparing for our own show, and could only hear a little bit, because the music Symphony played did sound very interesting to me. Some kind of doom metal, and I like that genre very much. Does anybody know their web site?
